    Senior Attorney Role at Florida Commission on Human Relations

    About the Job:

    The Senior Attorney position involves representing the Florida Commission on Human Relations in various legal proceedings, including civil litigation and administrative cases. Responsibilities include preparing legal documents, conducting research, and providing legal advice. The role also entails determining statutory violations, reviewing case files, and representing the agency in legal proceedings.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Prepare legal documents and conduct research
    • Review case files and draft proposed final orders
    • Represent the agency in legal proceedings
    • Respond to inquiries related to legal issues
    • Conduct legal training modules

    Requirements for Success:

    • Excellent research and writing skills
    • Knowledge of Florida and Federal civil rights laws
    • Experience in litigation and handling discrimination cases
    • Proficiency in drafting complex legal documents
    • Ability to manage a large caseload
    • Experience in teaching/training

    Qualifications:

    Must be an Attorney in good standing with the Florida Bar and have at least two years of professional experience in law practice, legal research, or related fields.
