Silent-Aire USA, Inc. seeks Manager of Lean and Continuous Improvement at its facility located at 280 E Germann Rd, Gilbert, AZ 85297.


JOB DESCRIPTION:


Conduct regular Gemba walks and Kaizen events to drive continuous improvement and identify waste reduction opportunities on the shop floor.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement by developing and implementing strategies that drive ongoing process improvement and innovation.

Analyze and evaluate business processes to find opportunities for improvement and develop solutions to enhance safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee engagement.

Facilitate the development of Hoshin Planning processes and aligning improvement activities with company goals.

Define, design, and implement process improvement as part of the Johnson Controls Management System (JCMS), and ensure its integration and alignment vertically and horizontally across organization.

Develop and implement Lean strategies and initiatives to eliminate waste, reduce costs, and improve efficiency across all areas of the organization.

Develop and implement Continuous Improvement methodologies and tools, such as Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Root Cause Analysis. Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment and integration of Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives with overall business strategy. Manage a team of Lean and Continuous Improvement professionals and provide coaching and mentorship to support their professional development.

Lead and coach cross-functional teams in the use of Lean tools and methodologies to identify and eliminate waste and improve processes.

Drive the development and implementation of sustaining systems such as suggestion systems, team leaders and group leaders with appropriate spans of control and clear roles and responsibilities.

Develop and deliver training programs to build Lean and Continuous Improvement capabilities across the organization.

Establish and maintain relationships with external organizations to promote the exchange of ideas and best practices in lean and continuous improvement.

Develop and manage benchmarking activities to identify best practices and drive continuous improvement throughout the organization. Develop and monitor metrics and key performance indicators to measure the success of Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives. Communicate and present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and other stakeholders. Develop and manage the budget for lean and continuous improvement activities. Provide regular progress reports to senior leadership on the status of improvement activities and results achieved.


REQUIREMENTS:


This position requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field and 3 years of experience as a Lean Specialist, Lean Implementer, or related occupation involving Lean and Continuous Improvement.


Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with:
(1) Leading and initiating Hoshin Kanri plan to develop 3 to 5 year road map for the plant; (2) Rolling out Line level, plant level and business level daily management boards called the control centers; (3) Utilizing Lean methodologies and tools, such as Value Stream Mapping, Ishikawa diagram 5 Why to arrive at the root cause of a problem and develop countermeasures to resolve the bottleneck; (4) Utilizing tools, such as 5S, Kanban, Standardized Work, Leader Standard Work, Standard Operating Procedures to set a structure at the plant that will influence behaviors; (5) Leading large-scale Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives (with an A3 problem solving approach) to transform the manufacturing plant and help plant improve productivity; and (6) Utilizing engineering tools such as CAD, CAM, PLC to understand manufacturing machines and layout.
