- Support Account Managers with client balances, preparing journal entries, maintaining balance sheet schedules and ledgers
- Process company disbursements and actively oversee banking transactions
- Perform month-end and year-end closings and account analysis following tight deadlines
- Complete state and federal filings, and prepare for audit processes
- Implement internal financial controls and procedures
- Receive, approve, code, and investigate client accounts payable invoices
- Assist with tax research and corresponding state tax questions
- Compile and prepare appropriate schedules, statements, and reports of a complex nature as requested
- Process North Risk Partners insurance company direct bill commission statements
- Perform miscellaneous projects and complete various tasks as requested by management
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 2-5 years of accounting work experience
- Strong understanding of accounting principles
- Demonstrated excellent verbal, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail with ability to work in a fast-paced environment

- Demonstrate enthusiasm and a positive attitude
- A self-starter who takes initiative to identify problems and lead by example

The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for executing departmental policies, procedures, and general accounting functions on a Generally Accepted Accounting Principles ("GAAP") basis. You will play a major role in assisting senior Accounting Specialists and the Controller with day-to-day tasks and procedures associated with payroll processing.
