We are a global team and the largest studio within EA Studios Technology Group (STG) is one of several teams within C & D.
The Tools and Technology Team within STG is looking for accomplished people to help us fulfill our mission of providing creative tools and workflows that allow EA to lead the industry in content quality.
Our group strives to build an ecosystem of modular components that are efficient, adjustable to trends, and allow for quick iteration of any artistic idea into reality.

The challenge ahead:
As a Senior Technical Artist I, you will work alongside our Worlds Team with the support of a Product Owner and Technical Director.
Day to day you will ... Work with partners (i.e. artists and engineers) to develop user-friendly tools, efficient pipelines, and optimal workflows that aid in the development and iteration of game content. Gather user requirements, design, implement, debug, test, and maintain quality code.
Who you are:
Strong Experience with Houdini, Maya, Python, and familiarity with game engines (Unreal, Frostbite, Unity, etc.)8+ years of experience with developing content creation tools and/or workflowsKnowledge of content creation (e.g.
modeling, shading) and software engineering best practices (e.g. design patterns, object-oriented design).Experience working on a project in collaboration with a variety of roles including game teams, artists, engineers, Technical Directors and Art DirectorsExcited to learn and apply new concepts, principles, and solutions.Bonus, but not necessary Experience with Frostbite.
Experience with UI development.
Experience using USD based workflows.
Experience with Git.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
US COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states.
If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.
EA has listed the base salary ranges it in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in the locations listed, as of the time of this posting.
Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA.
We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees.
