About the role


More specifically, you'll serve as the operating executive of our product, working at the intersection of business objectives, user experience, and technology.

You'll own the product roadmap and all its associated objectives, UX designs, technical requirements, schedule, and resource plans. You'll manage projects and team members in an agile framework.

To see that our product delights our customers and serves evolving business needs, you'll conduct user research and continually set us apart from the competition.

You'll also serve as a key stakeholder in strategic customer development activities that will shape the long-range company objectives.


While our team is still small, you will also sometimes be called upon to help as an individual contributor, configuring software, writing code, authoring tests, and adapting designs.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelors degree in an engineering program
  • Two years as a fullstack software engineer
  • Three years as a product manager, or at least one experience taking a product from conception through launch to regular feature releases and improvements
  • 3 years experience working on projects delivering softwarebased systems
  • Javascript proficiency (basics skills, could be brushedup)
  • Certifications in both project management and product management for agile teams

Location and Hybrid Work
Ideally, you are local or willing to relocate to Charlottesville.

Otherwise, you'd be expected to be in the office 2-3 days per week during the first 4 months for onboarding and at least weekly thereafter.

Salary & Benefits

Expected salary range:
$130,000-160,000, commensurate with experience.
