Title:
Training and Training Support Advisor
Responsibilities Include:
- Help develop a training strategy in coordination with the Program Manager's acquisition plan and/or strategy
- Advise the FWPO in the development of the Strategic Training Plan (STRAP)
- Help develop training support packages (TSP) according to the Systems Approach to Training procedures outlined in TRADOC Reg 35070
- Identify and develop plans for New Equipment Training (NET), sustainment training, and refresher training
- Develop training or make training recommendations to any Army fixed wing aircraft or aircrew or maintenance training IAW TRADOC Reg 35070, Army Training and Evaluation-Mission Training Plan (ARTEP-MTP), Army Regulation (AR) 951, and the Aircrew Training Manual (ATM) if applicable
- Coordinate, when required, flights and flight training with the appropriate Government Flight Representatives (GFR)
- Identify the training target audience
- Identify training constraints
- Provide recommendations for training concepts, training strategies, and training products
- Supply recommendations for training support
- Perform training effectiveness analysis and recommend training enhancements for improving training
- Recommend Training Aids, Devices, Simulators and Simulations (TADSS) requirements
- Provide recommendations to the logistics leads for the development of the Life-Cycle Sustainment Plan (LCSP)
Basic Qualifications:
- Must be familiar with Ground and Flight Risk clause, as delineated in the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR), and AR 9520 and AR 95
- Experience in an Army PM Office
- Bachelors Degree and 10 years relevant experience
Preferred Skills/Knowledge:
- Should be knowledgeable with Army training doctrine, as well as Army Aviation training and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requirements for Army aviators, including civilian pilots and Army officers and warrant officers from aircraft qualification to aircraft currency requirements
- Previous Army Fixed Wing Instructor or Standardization Pilot
- Experience in developing/management of Aircrew Training Manual (ATM)
- Experience managing an Aircrew Training Program (ATP)
