Description

Copper River Technologies is seeking an experienced
Action Officer to join our team in Arlington, Virginia. This individual will support the front office of one of our Washington Headquarters Services (WHS) customers with action officer duties, anticipating the needs of Executive Staff and proactively addressing assignments with sound judgment, initiative, confidentiality, high-quality and with appropriate but mínimal direction.

This position will be on-site at the Pentagon.


Responsibilities _(include but are not limited to)_**:

SPD Tasker Management system:


  • Create, improve, or maintain a system to track all taskers assigned to the Division.
  • Manage and execute the action tracking process, to include the creation/update of a tasker tracking standard operating procedure (SOP).
  • Generate metrics to demonstrate accountability for meeting deadlines and quality expectations and develop reports on action status.
  • Recommend/develop folder structure for maintaining knowledge base/archive of taskers.
  • Support Division staff with previous documentation as templates for appropriate assignments.

Tasker Management:


  • Establish and maintain working relationships with customers and other internal and external stakeholders of the Division to support informed products.
  • Answer and filter action items appropriately to reduce the burden on SPD Executive Staff.
  • Analyze and recommend assignment of actions as appropriate.
  • Support Division staff with drafting and developing packages.
  • Perform Quality Assurance on documents created by staff according DoD Guideline.

Tasker Responses:


  • Draft, edit, and prepare documents for approval by the government to support the mission of the front office and the Division as a whole, for example: Informational Papers, Decision Papers, Executive-Level Presentations/Briefings, Business Cases, Staff Guidance, Memorandum of Agreements (MOA)/Memorandum of Understandings (MOU).
  • Prepare decision and information packages for routing in accordance with the DoD Guidelines, Directorate routing procedures, and Division instruction.
  • Provide status reports on actives taskers as request by Executive Staff.
  • Provide Division with comprehensive knowledge of regulations and policies affecting government publications, presentations, and correspondence.

Education:


  • Bachelor's degree or Associates degree with 10 years of experience as Action Officer or highly related role

Skills/Experience:


  • Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint
  • Adobe Acrobat Professional
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, detail oriented, strong organizational skills
  • Proven ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Excellent attention to details and diligent adherence to deadlines and deliverables
  • A highlevel performer with the ability to be proactive and respond rapidly to changing conditions in a fastpaced environment.
  • Independently create, enter, save, retrieve, edit, copy, paste, file and present text and spreadsheets.
  • Preparing packages for adhering to DoD guidance, route, and track progress.
  • Highly skilled in writing and editing in accordance with the DoD Manual for

Written Material:
Correspondence Management, NUMBER ‐M‐V1 & V2, dated October 26, 2010 or the most current version.

  • Understanding of the Plain Language Act of 2010 to provide writing that is clear, concise, and wellorganized.
  • Have a keen eye to perform Quality Control (QC) on all packages and other work products from the Division as requested.
  • Verbal and written communications must be timely and demonstrate the consistent ability to presents ideas and communicate information in a clear and concise manner.

Preferred Skills:


  • Experience with CATMS correspondence routing system
  • SharePoint front end development (folder structures, library, and list creation, and understanding of user experience principles.
