Overview:
The Post Oak Hotel is seeking a
Banquet Attendant to join the only double Forbes Five-Star Hotel in Texas. We hire passionate and professional colleagues who genuinely delight our guests through curated and authentic experiences.

The
Banquet Attendant will be responsible for set-up of banquet function as prescribed by the banquet event orders.


Responsibilities:


  • Set tables, chairs, dance floors and staging according to the instructions from the Captain, Banquet Manager or the Banquet Director
  • Provide prompt and professional service during banquet functions. Ensures that guest safety is of paramount consideration in the setup of the room and in the arrangement and performance of all banquet set up needs
  • Is familiar with the banquet rooms, storage areas and back of the house
  • If appropriate, assist guests, clients and meeting planners with changes and movements
  • Is aware of all functions and activities in the Hotel during the shift
  • Attend to guest complaints and requests promptly and refers them to the immediate Supervisor
  • Handle equipment with care to avoid accidents, breakage's and damage
  • Reset all of the Banquet rooms for the following day

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work independently
  • 2 years previous hotel experience, luxury or Forbes experience preferred
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays is required
  • Physical demands: Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis and prolonged extended periods of standing
