We are looking for dedicated and hard-working Pharmacy Technician to work in the medical department at the Baltimore County Dept.

of Corrections in Towson.

Current Open Position PART TIME 8 hr. a week


Responsibilities:


  • Maintaining accountability and detailed inventory for pharmacy medications and supplies
  • Providing strict confidentiality of pharmacy information at all times
  • Working under the supervise of the HSA reorder
  • Maintaining a neat and well organized pharmacy medications and supplies, if applicable
  • Typing of various reports, letters and memoranda
  • Answering the telephone and processing calls
  • Reporting any issues with missing pharmacy medications and supplies medications
  • Assisting with quarterly Pharmacy inspections
  • Any/all other duties and responsibilities as assigned or delegated.

Job Requirements


The Pharmacy Technician is a fast paced position and as such we must have someone who has the ability to multi-task.

In addition, the Pharmacy Technician must hold a current up to date certification as a Pharmacy Technician to practice in the state in which the facility is located.


Other requirements include:

  • Graduate of a Certified Pharmacy Technologist Program, preferred
  • One (1) year experience as a pharmacy technologist, preferred
  • Working knowledge of all pharmaceutical equipment
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office products & computer skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Working knowledge of office practices and procedures, English, spelling and math.
