Description

We are looking for dedicated and hard-working Pharmacy Technician to work in the medical department at the Baltimore County Dept.

of Corrections in Towson.

Current Open Position PART TIME 8 hr. a week

Responsibilities:

Maintaining accountability and detailed inventory for pharmacy medications and supplies
Providing strict confidentiality of pharmacy information at all times
Working under the supervise of the HSA reorder
Maintaining a neat and well organized pharmacy medications and supplies, if applicable
Typing of various reports, letters and memoranda
Answering the telephone and processing calls
Reporting any issues with missing pharmacy medications and supplies medications
Assisting with quarterly Pharmacy inspections
Any/all other duties and responsibilities as assigned or delegated.

Job Requirements

The Pharmacy Technician is a fast paced position and as such we must have someone who has the ability to multi-task.

In addition, the Pharmacy Technician must hold a current up to date certification as a Pharmacy Technician to practice in the state in which the facility is located.

Other requirements include:

Graduate of a Certified Pharmacy Technologist Program, preferred
One (1) year experience as a pharmacy technologist, preferred
Working knowledge of all pharmaceutical equipment
Knowledge of medical terminology
Proficient use of Microsoft Office products & computer skills
Effective communication skills
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
Working knowledge of office practices and procedures, English, spelling and math.
