Dietary/Utility Aide:


Salary:
$15.69/hour

Part-Time and PerDiem positions available in our 60-bed, not-for-profit facility providing long-term care, support and services.


Shifts and Hours:
Variable hours/shifts available to include every other weekend commitment.


The Dietary Aide handles a wide variety of assigned duties within the Dietary Department related to assisting in the preparation and service of meals for residents, guests and staff.

The Utility Aide cleans and sanitizing of supplies & equipment.


Dietary/Utility Aide Job Responsibilities include:


  • Work at the direction of the Director of Dining Services and Cook Supervisor.
  • Serves meals to the residents, observes their eating patterns and habits, and reports any changes.
  • Understanding food requirements of therapeutic diets and controlling serving portions.
  • Perform duties of a dish washer using both the 3bay sink and dish machine
  • Check department areas & equipment to ensure that they are sanitary and safe and report any maintenance needs to the supervisor.
  • Maintain cleaning standards, both in daily assignments and weekly cleaning schedules.
  • Perform any additional tasks or job positions as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Must conform to the dress code.
  • Comply with policies and procedures.
  • Attend required training and inservices.
  • Must exercise safety precautions in compliance with safety standards and Infection Control policies & procedures.

Entry Level Qualifications:


  • Education
- high school diploma preferred

  • Experience
  • 1 year food service preferred but we are willing to train
  • Equipment
- knowledge of all cooking and eating utensils

  • Physical
- can lift, stoop, kneel, sit, stand, bend, squat, and move with flexibility.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Able to speak, read, understand English language
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays as assigned.
