- Prepare ingredients in a timely manner, ensuring they are readily available for line cooks during service.
- Minimize food waste by practicing efficient ingredient preparation and storage methods.
- Clean kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas regularly and ensure they are properly maintained.
- Monitor and maintain proper storage temperatures for various food items, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Adapt to changes in the menu and new recipes as directed by the kitchen management.
- Follow safety protocols, including the safe use of kitchen equipment and the proper handling of hot surfaces and sharp objects.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure a well-coordinated and efficient kitchen operation.
- Must be 16 years of age or older.
- Familiarity with restaurant standards and hospitality
- Good communication skills, and experience working with staff on all levels.
- Ability to stand for hours at a time, including maneuvering up and down stairs.
- Must be able to lift to 25 pounds at-a-time without assistance.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
