Overview

Iron Tee, a vibrant high-tech arcade and golf entertainment venue, is on the lookout for a highly driven Sous Chef to lead a dynamic kitchen team in day-to-day kitchen operations alongside the Executive Chef. As a Sous Chef, you'll be in charge of all aspects of the kitchen operations, ensuring impeccable cleanliness and hygienic standards throughout. The ideal candidate will bring relevant expertise from a busy restaurant setting. In this role, you'll report directly to the Executive Chef and collaborate closely to uphold Iron Tee's operational and cultural values.

Responsibilities:

• Kitchen Operations Support: Assist the Executive Chef in supervising all kitchen activities, guaranteeing efficient food preparation, cooking, and plating.
• Food Preparation: Engage in food prep tasks like chopping, slicing, and cooking while following the venue's recipes and quality guidelines.
• Quality Control: Uphold high standards of taste, presentation, and safety for all dishes, conducting regular quality checks for consistency.
• Menu Execution: Aid in executing the menu flawlessly, ensuring accurate and timely dish preparation during peak hours.
• Inventory Management: Manage kitchen inventory, oversee stock rotation, ordering, and storage to reduce waste and maintain cost control.
• Staff Supervision: Train and supervise kitchen staff, including cooks and assistants, to ensure efficient work and compliance with food safety protocols.
• Menu Development: Collaborate with the Executive Chef on menu enhancements, integrating seasonal ingredients and innovative concepts.
• Health and Safety: Enforce kitchen safety protocols, adhere to health regulations, conduct inspections, and provide staff training.
• Events: Help plan and deliver custom menus for special events, parties, and catering, ensuring seamless food prep and presentation.
• Team Collaboration: Foster a harmonious and organized kitchen environment by working closely with the team to maintain efficiency and positivity.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Chef or Kitchen Manager in a high-volume entertainment venue, hotel, or restaurant.

• Proficient in using a personal computer and necessary software applications.

• Prior experience in inventory management and equipment/ingredient ordering based on identified shortages.

• Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.

• Team player with a dynamic and energetic demeanor.

• Self-aware, adaptable, and with a strong sense of integrity.

• Willingness to obtain any required licenses and certifications.
