Description

The German Sport University Cologne, as a university of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, is unique in its research spectrum and with around 6,000 students in Germany. It is also one of the most prestigious universities in its field internationally.

The Deputy Information Security Officer (m/f/d) position is available at the Office of the Vice-Rector for Communication, Digitalization and Diversity, in the field of information security, as soon as possible.

The position is full-time with a regular weekly working time of currently 39 hours and 50 minutes and is permanent.

Your main tasks

You will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing the information security status of the university and documenting the results.

You will provide advice and training on information security for employees and students.

You will work on updating the university's information security concept and on processes for monitoring and ensuring the legal and data protection-compliant use and security-related design of IT resources.

You will act as a substitute for the Information Security Officer in risk and emergency management for the field of information security.

You will assist in the analysis and management of information security incidents and support the Information Security Officer in internal (management level) and external (authorities
