Job Summary:


  • This is a student employee position for the Department of Geography, Geology, and the Environment, located in Felmley Hall. Undergraduate Research Assistants are hired by faculty to assist in carrying out a particular research agenda.
  • As an undergraduate research assistant, your responsibilities may include, but not be limited to, the following:
  • Research and collect material or data, library research, lab work, field work, or other project specific methodology.
  • Selfmotivation to complete tasks and make significant progress without direct supervision.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills.
  • The ability to learn new software and research techniques.
  • The ability to commit to complex projects.
  • Reports on status of research activities to supervising faculty.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Pay Rate:

$14.00/hour


Preferred Qualifications:

Completed course work in the department.


Work Hours:

Work hours will be determined by the faculty member.
