Job Summary:
- This is a student employee position for the Department of Geography, Geology, and the Environment, located in Felmley Hall. Undergraduate Research Assistants are hired by faculty to assist in carrying out a particular research agenda.
- As an undergraduate research assistant, your responsibilities may include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Research and collect material or data, library research, lab work, field work, or other project specific methodology.
- Selfmotivation to complete tasks and make significant progress without direct supervision.
- Analytical and problem solving skills.
- The ability to learn new software and research techniques.
- The ability to commit to complex projects.
- Reports on status of research activities to supervising faculty.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong computer skills.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Pay Rate:
$14.00/hour
Preferred Qualifications:
Completed course work in the department.
Work Hours:
Work hours will be determined by the faculty member.
