Lead Quality Analyst - Austin, United States - Central Health

Overview:
Central Health's Lead Quality Analyst and Statistician will work on demographic, operational, performance measurement, population health, research, and other reporting to improve the health of the population we serve.
This position will collaborate with other analysts, data scientists, quality professionals and stakeholders to help us understand how we can continuously improve the care our population receives by providing key actionable insights.
They will fulfill or coordinate requests that inform quality initiatives, provider reimbursement, program development, performance improvement, program evaluation and research.
Work will include but will not be limited to:statistical modeling, preparing data for analysis, identifying health care KPI, interpreting measure specifications, automating data staging as appropriate, creating data visualizations and maps, analyzing data outputs to compose written reports that respond to data requests, analyzing data collection procedures, investigating quality initiative strategies, identifying patient access and healthcare opportunities, and presenting data analysis and findings to leadership and other stakeholders.
**_Hybrid = Individuals in this position may work both at an approved off-site location and onsite at a primary location or multiple locations based on business needs_**
Responsibilities:
- Prepares data from multiple and various large datasets for analysis, automating processes when possible.
- Analyzes trends, determines accuracy and relevancy of data information and present solutions and alternatives
- Performs quantitative analysis employing multiple statistical models and machine learning strategies or
- Identifies validated tools or formally creates surveys to collect information needed.
- Applies inductive reasoning to combine separate pieces of information, or specific answers to problems and
- Leverages literature (e.g. journal articles, white papers, etc.) and other publicly available data resources related
- Conducts program evaluations.
- Presents data analysis and findings to leadership, executive, our Board of Managers, governmental agencies and
- Protects the confidentiality of patient records, information, and activities that involve patient health information. Develops healthcare metric sets and has the ability to create and interpret metric specifications.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
Master's degree Biostatistics, Public Health with focus on Biostatistics, Math-related field other relevant field
PREFERRED EDUCATION:
PhD Biostatistics, Public Health with focus on Biostatistics, Math-related field other relevant field
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
- 5 years Experience with healthcare data, statistics, experimental research, data science, reporting and analytics, economics, or public health
- 2 years Experience in a healthcare setting
- 2 years Experience with SQL or Python scripting
- 2 years Experience with ESRI mapping tools
- 2 years years Experience in a lead analytics or strategy role
