The sanitation worker role on first shift requires someone who is self motivated. This role involves both housekeeping and sanitation duties.

Moreover, this role will require the person filling the role to have a higher level of comfort working in wet environments as well as handling up to 60 lbs.

This could mean being able to comfortably lift, push, pull, or generally handle the weight.

While any relative experience is appreciated for this role, an individual who is capable of handling the physical requirements and proves to be a fast learner will be able to successfully meet the expectations of this role.

Responsibilities:

• Keep the waste management areas cleaned such as dumpster areas, grounds, and recycle containers.
• Clean and sweep the entire production and warehouse floor.
• Operate auto floor scrubber to clean the production, wash bay, and warehouse floor.
• Empty trash cans and trash containers daily.
• Lift equipment or machinery for cleaning and sanitizing.
• Clean and sanitize machinery, utensils, and equipment daily in the wash bay area or dishwasher machine.
• Maintain wash bay area, floors, racking, and dishwashing machine keeping them clean and sanitized.
• Clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, buckets, trash cans, and other tools as required.
• Conduct chemical concentration checks.
• Clean and organize the chemical cage.
• Housekeeping tasks such us: cleaning GMP room, break room, and restrooms.
• Maintain supplies and organize them in the corresponding area and keep track of Cintas and internal supplies.
• Serve as a backup of the Sanitation first shift employees.
• May clean other areas of the facility as required.

Qualifications

• Bilingual (English & Spanish) is preferred, but not necessary.
• No experience is required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to comfortably working in a wet environment, with exposure to humidity and steam.
• Must be able to read and interpret documents, such as Safety Data Sheets (SDS), chemical registries, master sanitation schedules, etc.
• Must be able to complete standard sanitation checks
• Must be able to effectively communicate with others, in a professional and respectable manner.

Job Type:

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM
