Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)#/#$1,000 Sign On Bonus*SUMMARY: This position is filled by a certified nursing assistant who, as a result of educational and clinical experience, possesses the knowledge and skills necessary to provide direct patient care; ensures quality focused and cost-effective care delivery outcomes; functions within a collaborative practice to enhance quality of care; and participates in continuous quality improvement activities.#
Adaptability is essential for the hospice CNA, as work schedule and daily work load change frequently to meet patient needs.
# Responsible and accountable for basic patient care, timely notification to appropriate staff on completion of patient care and for patient status changes.Responsible for homemaker and housekeeping duties in the home of patients and at the Hospice House.# Responsible for adhering to all standards of patient care and promoting a team effort among co-workers.
Responsible and accountable to know, own, and energize the vision, mission, values and standards of the Hospice of the Ozarks.
JOB REQUIREMENTS Education:
# High school diploma or equivalent or minimum score of Bronze on the Career Readiness Certification (#CRC#) certificate.

One year patient care experience and Safety Care Training encouraged, but not required
Certifications:
Current Arkansas state approved nursing assistant certification.# BLS required.# Obtain hospice specific CNA certification within two years of employment desired.# Valid and clean Driver#s License, reliable transportation and agency required liability insurance to complete home visits.
Active personal automobile liability insurance coverage consisting of $100,000 per person and $300,000 per accident for bodily injury required.# Other:
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively. Complete lift training within 6 months.# Basic computer knowledge required.# Driving required.
