Your Tasks

  • Development of process steps to improve the functional flatness of wafer chucks
  • Investigation, further development and innovative use of technologies, e.g. polishing, lapping and grinding processes on ceramics to achieve highly flat surfaces
  • Analysis of process risks and creation of manufacturability assessments
  • Preparation and handling of test parts, as well as conducting measurements and data analysis
  • Presentation of development and test results to stakeholders within the project team and department

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in mechanical engineering/physics or equivalent qualification or master craftsman in fine optics
  • Knowledge of brittle ceramics and/or glass materials and their processing
  • Understanding of topographic surface specifications
  • Fluent in German and English

Desired Knowledge

  • Experience with ion beam etching
  • Prior knowledge in flatness measurement technology, particularly advantageous: interferometry
