    The Recovery Public Assistance (PA) branch collaborates with various Federal and State agencies, local governments, select private non-profits, and other Cal OES staff to secure additional grants through Federal and State PA programs, enabling communities to recover from major disasters or emergencies. Staff Services Analysts in this branch work alongside senior Analysts, Program Specialists, and Program Managers to provide essential administrative, programmatic, training, and technical support to grant program applicants.

    From managing the primary Recovery email inbox, conducting research, and addressing inquiries to handling correspondence and documentation, as well as evaluating grant applications, PA Analysts play a crucial role as the initial point of contact for our applicants.     This role is situated in the Public Assistance Coastal Unit in Mather. The position offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing for up to two days of remote work weekly. Additional in-office days might be necessary based on operational requirements.

    Working Conditions

    Telework Opportunity - This position provides the chance to follow a hybrid work schedule, including up to two days of remote work per week. Additional in-office presence may be mandatory as per business needs.

    DMV Pull Program - Participation in the DMV Pull Program is mandatory. A valid Driver's License (DL) is required for the position(s). Applicants must address their DL status in the application, providing the DL number, class, expiration date, any endorsements, and restrictions.

    Conflict of Interest (COI) - This role falls under the Conflict of Interest Code and necessitates completion of Form 700 within 30 days of appointment. Non-compliance with the Conflict of Interest Code regulations may result in the appointment being voided.
