Gray West Construction is actively seeking an organized and outgoing Warehouse Coordinator to join our team based out of our West Sacramento location.




JOB DESCRIPTION:
WAREHOUSE COORDINATOR


Independently coordinates and performs ongoing facilities maintaining warehouse and coordinates and facilitates the mobilization and demobilization of construction materials and light equipment.

Maintains and organizes inventory of equipment, materials and warehouse space.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Maintains office, warehouse and facilities through direct work or the management of subcontractors and vendors. May be required to selfperform light/moderate maintenance on building and site including painting, washing or cleaning.
  • Oversees facilities in warehouse, equipment/ material inventory, equipment repair and replacement.
  • Obtains cost estimates for work related to facility maintenance or repair.
  • Periodically loads, drives and off loads construction related materials and light equipment to and from project sites. Driving distances may be up to 300 miles oneway.
  • Assist/maintain company recycling program.
  • Coordinate and perform relocation of desks, furniture, cabinets, etc.
  • Provides support for requests from office personnel including meeting setup, special event setup, and other functions.
  • Respond to afterhours facility related issues.
  • Coordinating safety and first aid requirements both local and state related to the facility.
  • Implement and manage procedures of collecting, archiving, shredding and disposing of documents per company document retention program.
  • Order and maintain inventory of office related items including janitorial and jobsite supplies.
  • Develop, maintain and update all tools and tool inventories.
  • Maintain fleet inventory and maintenance
  • Certified to operate a forklift
  • Organize, store and maintain all procurement items
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse
  • Basic computer skills with and understanding of Microsoft Office
  • Assist with field crew dispatch and preparation
  • Assist with safety meeting and local safety program
  • Maintain inventory levels of returned equipment and material from completed projects.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE


High school diploma or equivalent; and/or a minimum of two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and write in English. Ability to respond to common inquiries or issues, office and field personnel. Ability to effectively present information to employees, top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS


Must have basic business mathematical skills, including ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.


REASONING ABILITY


The ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only a limited standardization exists.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or other forms.

Operation of Motor Vehicles:

Must possess a valid CA Motor Vehicle (Driver's) Class C License in good standing. Must hold forklift certification and be a competent forklift operator.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Frequently in a normal office environment where noise level is moderate and temperature/humidity is controlled. Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and outside weather conditions.

May be exposed to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold and/or heat, risk of electrical shock, explosives and vibrations.

Noise level on the job site is normally moderate to loud.
