Position Summary:
The Director of Data Science and Analytics will assist the Neurology Scheduling (match clinician to need), Operational Excellence (analytics), and Coverage Planning (panels and privileges) teams in delivering high quality care for Access TeleCare patients as we continue to see high growth across the service line.
This leader is instrumental in ensuring Access TeleCare Neurology can continue to deliver high-quality care efficiently even as it grows several folds in scale.
Description of Duties/Essential Functions:
Create a continuous improvement mindset to the complex problem of supply-demand matching in clinician services, incorporating external best practices and cutting-edge ideas
Integrate analytics with judgment to prioritize complex considerations
Lead advanced analytics within Neurology Operations, including oversight of our machine learning and AI partnerships
Leverage quantitative analytics to assess success of the Scheduling function and identify opportunities to improve performance
Utilize quantitative analytics to guide practice's perspectives towards providers and clients
Oversee Scheduling operations to monitor performance against KPIs to understand driving factors
Manage coverage planning to integrate priorities for clear guidance and to provide key support for teams such as Credentialing, Licensing, and Privileging
Assist with planning for new sites and clients, ensure on-time delivery of high-quality panels, problem-solve as needed, and provide feedback on realistic timing
Constant communication with Practice Administration regarding provider management including but not limited to first shifts, provision of availability, policies, etc.
Manage partnerships with critical support teams outside operationsLiaise performance against KPIs to senior stakeholders such as:
Average provider productivity
Practice revenue
COGS per hour and per encounter
On-time start percentage for new-hire physicians
Physician and client satisfaction with Scheduling
Schedule completeness
On-time schedule release
Direct and oversee provider-facing communications about the scheduling function: asks, forthcoming changes, break-fixes, etc.
Problem-solve unexpected challenges requiring scheduling input: new sites, departure of physicians, etc.
Assist in planning launches of new services
Provide guidance to key support teams based on operational analytics

Education and/or Experience:
Master's degree preferred
5-7+ years' experience in healthcare administration, including demonstrated team leadership
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficient computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office programs
Proven interpersonal communication skills through various channels
Responsiveness
Strong relationship building
Excellent organization and time management
Ability to work independently, but function as part of a team
Detail oriented
High reliability in follow-through of tasks
Flexibility and willingness to take on new tasks with guidance
Familiarity with provider operations or proven track record rapidly learning new content
Hands-on experience with advanced analytics tools including but not limited to: Tableau, SQL, mySQL, Python, etc
Strong conceptual and analytical problem-solving skills
Work Environment:

fully remote with willingness to travel occasionally to headquarters for key meetings
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
