About Alessandra Stagni:
I am an academically accomplished professional holding a B.S. in Cognitive Science with concentrations in Psychology, HCI, and Cognitive-Neuroscience, as well as a minor in Criminology. Soon to graduate with an M.S. in Applied Cognition and Neuroscience, focusing on Cognition and Neuroscience. A recipient of Cum Laude Honors, BBS Honors, UT Dallas PsiChi membership, and the prestigious Undergraduate Research Scholar Award (URSA) program in 2021. I also obtained a certification from google in UX Research and design.
In addition to my academic background my professional background includes neurofeedback clinical associate and research assistant with diverse experience in neurofeedback, biofeedback, and cognitive assessments. Expertise in designing and supervising research projects, focusing on lifestyle and substance use on sleep patterns, and the impact of dishonesty within parent/child relationships. Proficient in interviewing diverse age groups, participant recruitment, and data categorization using coding methods. I am adept at administering psychological assessments and providing detailed client reports.
Experience
In my experience as a server and bartender, I obtained strong customer service skills, the ability to multitask and prioritize under pressure, and experience in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
As a research assistant, I have experience with research methodologies and data analysis, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. My work in this field has given me exposure to academic and scientific settings, as well as opportunities to develop technical and analytical skills.
Finally, as a neurofeedback associate, I have knowledge of brain function and neuropsychology, as well as experience working with patients and clients to improve their cognitive function and emotional well-being. My work in this field has given me the ability to work independently, manage my own schedule, and develop strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Education
My academic background is diverse. I have a Bachelor's degree in Cognitive Science and a minor in Criminology, as well as a Master's degree in Cognitive Neuroscience.
My Bachelor's degree in Cognitive Science gave me a broad understanding of how the brain works, including topics such as perception, attention, memory, and language. My minor in Criminology has provided me with a unique perspective on how cognitive processes relate to criminal behavior and the criminal justice system.
My new Master's degree in Cognitive Neuroscience gave me a deeper understanding of the neural mechanisms underlying cognition, including topics such as brain imaging techniques, neural network modeling, and clinical neuropsychology. This degree provided me with opportunities to conduct original research, develop experimental designs, and analyze complex data.
In addition to my degree programs, I have also taken computer science courses in C++ and Python, which gave me valuable technical skills for data analysis and programming. I have a UX Research/Designer certification, which gave me a comprehensive understanding of user-centered design principles and the creation of seamless, engaging user experiences.
