About us


The Del-Mar-Va Council provides Scouting opportunities throughout the Del-Mar-Va Peninsula, serving over 200 units and 3,250 volunteers who are delivering the promise of Scouting to over 4200 young men and women.

The Council covers fourteen counties and is divided into 8 Scouting districts.

Del-Mar-Va Council is comprised of the full state of Delaware and the Eastern Shore counties of Maryland and Virginia on the geographic area known as the Delmarva Peninsula.


Principal Responsibilities

  • Administrative support duties necessary for the efficient operation of the functional assignments of staff members in the department including operation of the POS system for the collection and recording of camp fees and other monies, daily POS closeout and banking deposit, petty cash management, mail, flyers and promotional material, and other duties as assigned.
  • Coordinate aspects of the computerized camping reservation systems, including fee collection.
  • Organize and schedule meetings, appointments, and events.
  • Maintain organized and uptodate filing systems, both physical and digital
  • Manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Accept assignments deemed necessary for the successful operation of the Council.

Requirements:


  • Proven experience as an administrative assistant or similar role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook)
  • Excellent proofreading skills with attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Pay:
$36, $38,102.00 per year
