As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a highly organized and experienced Assistant Laboratory Manger to join our team and support our mission.


As the Assistant Laboratory Manger, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and smooth operation of our office.

You will be responsible for accurate login and data entry tasks, important administrative functions, help coordinate office activities, and support our team of dedicated professionals working to safeguard our water resources for our clients.


Key Responsibilities will include:

This position will be assisting the Laboratory Management Team in a full range of activities including:

  • QA/QC and data quality improvement activities
  • Supervise and manage a team of laboratory technicians, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Manage projects and timelines, coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely completion.
  • Maintaining the laboratory's accreditation status and assist in expanding the scope of accreditation as needed.
  • Scheduling, ordering, evaluating, and reporting Proficiency Testing samples, development of effective corrective actions for any failures.
  • Assisting in SOP development that is compliant to accreditation standards.
  • Maintaining personnel training documentation.
  • Detecting, documenting, monitoring, resolving, and closing nonconformance and corrective action reports
  • Oversee the daytoday operations of the laboratory, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to protocols.
  • Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and equipment, ordering as needed.
  • Stay up to date with advancements in laboratory techniques and technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and maintain accurate records.
  • Develop and implement laboratory procedures and protocols to ensure accuracy and compliance with governing regulations.
  • Implementing and improving the QA program and the QA Manual
  • Documenting validation of new test & measurement services
  • Performing and documenting internal audits and data assessments
  • Assisting in external audits by accreditation bodies and clients; responding to any deficiencies
  • Proactively ensuring compliance to ethics program
  • Other duties as assigned.

YOUR EXPERTISE AND SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelors' degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic qualifications.
  • Two years of experience as Group Leader, Project Manager or previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job.
  • Working knowledge of industry regulations, NELAP, 40CFR or other regulated environments
