    Professional & Industry Workforce Development Coordinator

    REPORTS TO: Senior Certification Manager

    FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Full-time; Exempt

    LOCATION: Fairfax, VA HQ/Hybrid

    BASE SALARY: $46,700 - $70,050

    Summary

    The Professional & Industry Workforce Development Coordinator is a member of the Professional & Industry Workforce Development business unit, who together work to provide innovative education, development and credentialing opportunities for IA professional and career development, workforce development and certification and credentialing offerings. The Coordinator is primarily responsible for providing exemplary internal and external customer experience and assisting in the day-to-day administration of this business unit. The ideal candidate has excellent interpersonal and communication skills, experience with project coordination, enjoys problem solving and thrives in a dynamic and collaborative team environment.

    Responsibilities

    Serve as the primary point of contact for questions regarding the IA Professional & Industry

    • Workforce Development portfolio to help customers understand and be able to take advantage of other
    • offerings.
    • Manage the application and registration process, ensuring eligibility criteria is met and
    • verifying qualifications and experience
    • Respond to inquiries by providing information about programs
    • Troubleshoot registration and access issues
    • Process orders received from customers for brand merchandise related to the programs, including
    • certification stamps, attendance certificates, etc.

    Provide back-up assistance with answering the main IA customer/member phone line.

    Provide support to the IA's B2B and B2C certification programs, which includes but is not

    limited to:

    • Coordinate and provide logistical support for all exams.
    • Communicate throughout the process with proctors, test registrants and exam session contact
    • representative.
    • Generate and issue certification documents, providing necessary credentials or identification and
    • maintaining accurate records of certified individuals

    Provide support to professional and career development offerings through various modalities

    including in-person classes, online courses, workshops or virtual training sessions.

    • Manage the enrollment process for in-person and online offerings.
    • Advise customers on where to find information on counseling, career services, technical support
    • or assistance with study materials or resources.
    • Assist with preparations for the planning and delivery of education content, including the IA
    • University at Irrigation Show and Education Week.

    Provide operations support to the Business Unit including, but not limited to:

    • Prepare and ensure accurate invoicing for program participants
    • Audit and order supplies for the programs
    • Maintain records and assist with accurate management of records in AMS (iMIS) and LMS/CRM, including data entry, cleanup and database integrity.
    • Help draft, update and manage changes to policies and SOPs

    Fulfill B2B and B2C orders placed for Professional & Industry Workforce Development resources.

    Monitor and update digital platforms to ensure information is current and updated.

    Work with colleagues to support our enterprise-wide activities that highlight Professional & Industry Workforce Development offerings.

    Provide support to the Certification Board and other volunteer groups as assigned.

    Experience

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and/or certifications.
    • At least one year of experience in customer service.

    Competencies

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong interpersonal and customer-service skills to work with a diverse set of stakeholders including customers and members, leadership and volunteers, team members, and the general public.
    • Ability to work in an organization with geographically dispersed employees.
    • Experience working with Microsoft Office 365 and using databases. Knowledge of association management systems (iMIS), learning management systems (KnowledgeDirect) and/or testing and assessment platforms (Webassessor) a plus.
    • Well organized and detail oriented.
    • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.

    Physical Requirements

    This position is located in an office setting. It requires prolonged periods of remaining stationary. Candidates need to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc., and need to be able to move boxes weighing up to 30 lbs. They will constantly operate a computer and other office productivity equipment such as a copy machine and computer printer.

    Other Expectations

    • This position is hybrid and not eligible for fully remote work.
