About the Role

The position of Director of Basketball Operations for Women's Basketball offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of a vibrant athletic program at an esteemed university. As a key member of the team, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the women's basketball office, ensuring smooth communication among staff members while maintaining compliance with NCAA Division I rules.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a comprehensive player development program focusing on areas such as leadership, financial literacy, and post-college transition planning
• Develop professional opportunities for players and serve as a mentor for educational and NIL opportunities
• Assist in strategic decision-making for scouting and contests
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment for student-athletes
• Ensure compliance with university, conference, and NCAA rules
• Coordinate recruitment efforts and manage official and unofficial visits
• Handle season scheduling and communicate effectively with coaches and teams
• Direct day-to-day program operations and liaise with various departments
• Collaborate with the coaching staff on all program operations
• Make recommendations for policy and procedure improvements
• Engage with donors and alumni for club participation
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Women's Basketball Head Coach

Qualifications

Required:

• Master's degree or equivalent experience
• Collegiate basketball playing experience or related work experience
• Familiarity with NCAA Division 1 rules
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Valid driver's license

Preferred:

• Understanding of collegiate athletic budgeting
• Video technology skills for producing scouting tapes
