Job Description:
Processing and coordinating nuclear decommissioning projects in East Pittsburgh. Ensuring compliance with legal and technical requirements for handling, storage, and disposal of radioactive waste. Evaluating conditioning techniques, methods for determining activity, and documentation of radioactive waste. Conducting facility inspections, particularly during disposal campaigns (container loading, waste and measurement campaigns). Representing the field within TÜV SÜD and externally. Preparing and conducting consultations, trainings, and workshops, both nationally and internationally.
Qualifications:
Completed degree in natural sciences or engineering. Experience in expert opinions or consulting (beneficial). Basic knowledge of nuclear technology, expertise in the disposal of radioactive waste and radiation protection. Above-average analytical skills, combined with the ability to appropriately document the analysis and its results in writing. Physical fitness for work in controlled areas. Teamwork, customer orientation, and assertiveness. Fluent in German and good knowledge of English.
