    Position Overview - Lab Technician / Animal Care Attendant
    A research institution is seeking a Lab Technician / Animal Care Attendant to perform daily husbandry and maintenance tasks critical to the health and well-being of valuable animal colonies and facilities.

    Compensation: $ $24.00 / HR
    Location: Boston, Massachusetts

    Responsibilities of the Lab Technician / Animal Care Attendant include:

    • Providing fresh caging, food, water and enrichment

    • Monitoring animal health concerns responsive to changes

    • Operating cleaning and monitoring equipment

    • Recording detailed room logs for verification

    • Assisting animal transfers and inventory confirmation

    • Maintaining tidy and compliant care environments

    • Reporting inaccuracies or regulation deviations promptly

    Qualifications for the Lab Technician / Animal Care Attendant include:

    • High school diploma/equivalent

    • 1-3 years of animal care experience

    • Able to follow detailed protocols accurately

    • Interest in learning intermediate handling

    • Strong teamwork and communication abilities

    • Comfort routinely lifting up to 50 lbs
