Experience
During my internship as a pharmacy intern at both a hospital and CVS Pharmacy, I gained invaluable experience in the field of pharmacy. At the hospital, I was able to witness firsthand the importance of medication management and patient care. I worked closely with pharmacists to ensure that medications were accurately dispensed and administered to patients according to their treatment plans.
At CVS Pharmacy, I had the opportunity to interact with customers on a daily basis, providing them with information about their medications and answering any questions they may have had. I also learned about inventory management and the importance of maintaining accurate records of medication stock.
Overall, my experiences as a pharmacy intern have reinforced my passion for helping others through healthcare. I have developed strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of the role that pharmacists play in ensuring patient safety and well-being.
Education
During my time at MCPHS University pursuing my Doctor of Pharmacy degree, I have gained a strong foundation in pharmaceutical sciences and clinical pharmacy practice. The rigorous curriculum has equipped me with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in the field of pharmacy. I have completed courses in pharmacology, medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutics, and pharmacotherapy, enabling me to understand the mechanisms of drug action and their applications in patient care.
Additionally, my experience at MCPHS University has provided me with valuable hands-on training through internships and experiential learning opportunities. I have had the chance to work alongside experienced pharmacists in a variety of settings, including community pharmacies, hospitals, and research laboratories. These experiences have allowed me to apply my knowledge in real-world situations and develop critical thinking skills.
After careful consideration and reflection on my academic journey at MCPHS University, I have decided to change my major to Pharmaceutical Science. This decision was influenced by my passion for research and desire to delve deeper into the scientific principles that underlie drug development and delivery. By pursuing a major in Pharmaceutical Science, I aim to further expand my understanding of pharmaceuticals and contribute to advancements in the field.
