Registered Nurse, Post Graduate Program: Neuroscience
An exciting opportunity currently exists for enthusiastic and highly motivated registered nurses to undertake a?post graduate program in Neuroscience nursing. This program, the Graduate Certificate in Clinical Nursing (Neuroscience), will be delivered in collaboration with our university partner, Australian Catholic University (ACU).
You will be employed part time ( EFT) in one of the two neuroscience wards at Austin Health for the duration of the post graduate program and will rotate to the other neuroscience clinical area. On successful completion of the Graduate Certificate in Clinical Nursing (Neuroscience), ongoing employment with Austin Health is offered.
Austin Health follows a best practice clinical learning environment philosophy and delivers education using contemporary teaching modalities with an emphasis on experiential learning. There is a particular focus on point of care teaching and learning. The post graduate program is 12 months duration.

Ward 6 East is a 26 bed ward and includes specialties of neurology, stroke, epilepsy and dermatology. 6 East also has a 4 bed Acute Stroke Unit. Ward 6 West is a 28 bed ward with the specialties of neurosurgery, vascular surgery and ENT. Ward 6 West also has a 4 bed Neurosurgery High Dependency Unit.
