- Collaborates with leadership and staff, offering HR and organizational guidance to address challenges and foster growth.
- Utilizes data analysis alongside the HR team to identify trends, develop effective solutions, and implement policies that align with organizational objectives.
- Manages complex employee relations issues, conducting comprehensive investigations and maintaining a deep understanding of legal requirements to mitigate risks and ensure compliance, consulting external counsel when necessary.
- Provides ongoing performance management support, including coaching, career development, and disciplinary actions, contributing to a positive work environment.
- Works closely with management and staff to enhance work relationships, boost morale, and improve productivity and retention.
- Contributes to HR policy development and provides guidance on organizational restructuring and workforce planning.
- Identifies training and development needs, offering individual coaching and participating in the evaluation of training programs to ensure success.
- Facilitates DEI and other training programs, fostering inclusive discussions, and actively participates in the development and action planning resulting from internal surveys.
- Performs assigned duties and responsibilities, ensuring the effective functioning of HR processes in the organization.
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including DEI, compensation practices, organizational assessment, employee relations, compliance, performance management, and federal and state employment laws.
- Seven or more years employee relations experience.
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience required, preferably in Human Resource Management or Business; Masters degree in HR.
- HRCI or SHRM certification preferred.

Our client is a non-profit in the Holyoke, MA area that is introducing a new role HR Business Partner into the organization to work closely with both their employees and their leadership team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in aligning HR strategies with organizational goals, playing a pivotal role in employee relations, fostering a positive workplace culture, contribute expertise in compensation and benefits, aligning the organization's practices with the mission and values, and supporting the overall growth and impact of their mission.
