Position Information:
- Home every night and every weekend
- Pedaling freight throughout Michigan
- Earning morning dispatches
- Paid hours, mileage, and stops
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Drives truck to destination to meet customer requirements.
Drive in a safe and efficient manner under all circumstances.
Have knowledge of and compliance with company policy and all federal, state, local laws and regulations governing the operation of company equipment
Performs pre and post trip inspections. Inspects truck for defects before and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition.
Maintains driver log according to DOT regulations
Prepares receipts for load picked up.
Maintains contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
Loads and unloads truck protecting the load and equipment.
Inspects truck& trailer equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and water.
Positions blocks and secures cargo during transit.
Report all accidents or incidents immediately to the supervisor.
Prepares and submits daily paperwork that is legible.
All employees have a responsibility to report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Education or Experience One year related experience and/or training
Current valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) class A License with a Hazmat endorsement and passage of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations exam and Department of Transportation (DOT) physical.
