Monday - Thursday 9am to 3pm and Sundays 8 to 12
Compensation:
$25/hour
PRIMARY FUNCTION
Support the ministries and mission of Light of the Valley church by managing administrative functions, including supervision of staff, support the pastor and volunteers, benefits administration, insurance, and taxes.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Administrative Functions
- Manages the insurance needs of the church including property, liability,
- Oversees the information technology functions of the church through
hardware and software, training, the local area network, the church
management of the network with outside resources.
Human Resource Functions
- Maintain personnel records, track vacation, sick days and other timeoff. Recommends policy updates to the Pastor and Strategic Planning Council.
- Hires, supervises, and terminates, when necessary, staff and facility staff (Volunteers) in consultation with the Senior Pastor and develops programs to encourage growth and cooperation among staff members.
- Maintains current job descriptions, develops yearly goals and objectives. Conduct personnel performance reviews through annual written staff evaluations.
- Perform other administrative duties as delegated by the Senior Pastor.
Communication
- Meet regularly with the Senior Pastor, ministry leaders, treasurer, staff, and facility volunteers.
- Participates in Staff Retreats and Leadership Meetings.
Collaboration
- Collaborates with various staff members and team leaders to ensure effective administrative and facility support of ministry activities.
- Recruits, trains, and supports volunteers to assist with administrative tasks.

This position is evaluated annually by the Senior Pastor.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A strong and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Alignment with the mission, priorities, and leadership of Light of the Valley church.
- Some acquired knowledge in a business, management, finance, or related field.
- 35 years' experience in financial management and leadership
- Gifts of administration, organization, and leadership.
- Detailoriented.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Demonstrated high emotional intelligence.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work and engage with staff, teams, and the congregation.
- Proven ability to recruit and encourage volunteer involvement, development, and empowerment.
- Ability to work with and maintain positive relationships with those inside and outside of the church.
- Discernment in handling sensitive issues, managing conflict biblically and maintaining confidentiality.
