Your responsibilities

As a social care worker (m/f/d), you will support people with various disabilities in all areas of life and empower them to be independent. Your work brings joy and quality of life and promotes inclusion in society. The training at our vocational school in Neuerkerode is characterized by a high practical component. You will have the opportunity to try out what suits you best, such as working with children with mild learning disabilities, working with adults with physical disabilities, or interacting with people with complex multiple disabilities. Just as diverse as the daily lives of people with disabilities, social care work is also challenging, creative, and empathetic.

You can expect:

  • A 3-year training program (also possible part-time or with a training allowance)
  • The training takes place full-time for three days a week at the vocational school and two days a week in practical training (in addition, there is a four-week practical block each year).
  • With a high number of practical hours, you will have the opportunity to apply what you have learned effectively in practice.
  • The professional qualification you will receive from us includes a technical college entrance qualification and is valid nationwide. The Evangelische Stiftung Neuerkerode also offers scholarships for outstanding graduates.
