    Basic Job Concept:

    Live "Together, we Foster" by performing a vital role in our product and inventory control process. This role has a positive impact on our operations by being responsible for checking, inspecting, and approving any returned items brought back by our drivers. Sound decision making skills are needed to determine if product can be reissued, donated, or disposed of, and accounting appropriately for each transaction to ensure accurate inventory. This role also ensures paperwork/traceability accuracy and consistent process utilization.

    What You'll Do:
    • Monitor, manage and process all returns/returned product entered by our Customer Experience Department and brought back by our drivers.
    • Notify Inventory Control leader of any discrepancies regarding returns based on paperwork and actual product received.
    • Report and accurately document the number of cases over on truck and correct any reported inaccuracies.
    • Oversee the donation process working with the Inventory Control leader and the Receiving Team.
    • Assist with reconditioning products that are within the temperature range in your primary workstation when down time permits.
    • Assist with inventory Cycle Counts daily/weekly/monthly as needed.
    • Always maintain a clean and neat work environment.
    • Ensure no product is discarded without appropriate documentation and authorization of the department supervisor on duty.
    • Adhere to all safety rules and maintain all food safety practices.
    • Complete the check-in process in a manner that ensures all products are returned to the appropriate cooler/pick slots in a timely manner staying within their specific temperature range.
    What You'll Bring to the Table:

    • Insightful, meaningful, relevant customer service skills and experience and sound communication skills.
    • Experience in a warehouse setting is needed, warehousing with produce a definite plus.
    • Strong attention to detail, as strict standards must be met to ensure accuracy of product including weight and description.
    • Desire to assess situations, determine a course of action, and relay that opinion based on facts.
    • Computer/PC skills to input data, create reports, and generate work orders.
    • A genuine interest in ensuring we provide quality food products to our customers.
    • Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis, and do so safely.
    • Ability to perform these functions in a cold warehouse environment.
