Duties:


  • Operate a limited service bar in Lawrence, MI
  • Prepare a limited variety of alcoholic drinks using premix and garnish
  • Serve beer, soda, and wine to patrons directly or through waiters
  • Receive payment, operate cash register, and make change for patrons or waiters
  • Set up bar for operation and obtain cash bank
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Wash bar equipment, glassware, and utensils
  • Stock service bars and assist higherlevel bartender as needed
  • Prepare documentation for cash funds accountability
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements:


Conditions of Employment:


  • Must pass a background investigation
  • Must physically be in Germany before receiving a final job offer
  • Must meet minimum age requirement for serving alcoholic beverages
  • Must be able to work shifts on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special occasions
  • Must obtain a Food Handler's Certificate or complete food handler's training
  • Must pass a preemployment physical

Qualifications:


  • Must have experience mixing alcoholic beverages for retail sale
  • Must be able to recognize and handle intoxicated or unruly patrons
  • Must be able to follow cash handling procedures
  • Must have excellent communication and customer service skills

Education:


  • No education substitution allowed for this position

FOREIGN EDUCATION:


  • Education completed in foreign colleges or universities must be deemed equivalent to a conventional U.S. education program
