    Network Engineer I

    Summary:

    Delaware Nation Industries is providing 24x7 Network Support for the Indian Health Service (IHS) agency, delivering healthcare through several hundred facilities to our Native American communities across the nation from Las Vegas, Nevada. This is a direct hire/salary position with excellent benefits, and outstanding compensation including full medical, dental, 401K vacation and holiday pay.

    **This is a unique overnight schedule in order to assist a 24/7 covered environment. The hours are in PST:

    Thursday: 5PM-12AM

    Friday: 5PM-2AM

    Saturday/Sunday: 2PM-2AM

    Responsibilities/Qualifications:

    R&S

    • Candidate should have practical experience with the following technologies: Cisco Nexus/IOS switching platforms and Cisco routing platforms.
    • Knowledge of Routing Protocols & experience configuring routers to support: OSPF, BGP and Layer-2 technologies including IOS XE as well as IPSec/VPN technologies.
    • General engineering WAN, LAN & Wireless support will be provided for Cisco and Aruba products. Cisco is present in 95% of the environment and includes SD-WAN.

    Monitoring & Operations

    • Support & perform network architecture/design, installation, implementation, maintenance and troubleshooting of core communications networks.
    • Candidate will demonstrate a high level of detail in documenting and resolving incidents and troubleshooting network communications/infrastructures issues involving a variety of hardware/software and different protocols and platforms. Tracking tasks using tools including ServiceNow.
    • Proficiency in using tools and methods to diagnose network issues such as: Wireshark, LiveAction NX and PRTG.
    • Communicates with the customer base regarding network issues/problems/solutions and leads/participates in numerous network engineering/customer/user teleconferences.
    • Supports network engineering projects.

    Telecommunications

    • Candidate should understand basic WAN circuit types both TDM & Ethernet for Router interface support.
    • Provides support for circuit incident management through close coordination with Verizon and other vendors as required.
    • Should have some experience configuring and supporting wireless WAN technology for remote sites.

    Process & Documentation

    • ITIL Framework knowledge & certification is preferred.
    • Directly contributes to organizational objectives to meet SLA's.
    • Develops documentation of supported processes related to supporting the IHS agency including updating service design documents and site topologies.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Able to obtain a US Government Public Trust Clearance
    • Active CCNA required with a minimum of 2 years' experience as a CCNA plus additional industry-related certifications.
    • Palo Alto exposure with some experience in a production environment is preferred.
    • Familiarity with MPLS WAN circuits in a multi-site configuration is a plus.
    • A minimum of 2 years' experience working within an enterprise network infrastructure consisting of multiple data centers and supporting large enterprise network LAN & WAN operations.
    • Experience creating detailed physical and logical data center and site-level network diagrams.
    • Experience with ITIL or other IT service-delivery methodologies.
