**SUMMARY_______________________________

The Accounting Specialist position performs various corporate accounting, support, and record keeping functions under the general supervision of the Director of Accounting.

As a recognized patient-centered medical home (PCMH), every employee is responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of quality, comprehensive patient-centered care as a member of the patients care team.

By performing the job expectations described below you will be an active member of the care team thereby patients are assured access to team-based, coordinated, comprehensive, quality care.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include, but are not limited to, the following)**- Monitors, analyzes and enters daily site cash deposits into the accounting system

  • Contract/Lease management assist CEO with renewals and tracking and assure documentation is complete and accurate
  • Scan contracts / MOU / Agreements
  • Reconciles A/P to the general ledger monthly
  • Assist with Year End financial audits
  • Performs external site financial audits
  • Verifies invoices and payments due are accurate, properly documented, and agree with previously quoted amounts, purchase orders, and/or advertised prices as well as vendor provided records, e.g. statements, invoices, etc.
  • Maintain Purchase Order records
  • Manages the fixed asset function to include inventory and monthly reconciliations
  • Inventory and Supplies management
  • Capital/Non-Capital fixed asset management
  • Ensure facilities maintenance is properly conducted on a routine basis
  • Maintain facilities work order system

  • Reads, speaks, understands and writes proficiently in English
  • Effectively communicates orally and in writing.
  • Knowledge of basic infection control, including proper hand hygiene and universal precautions
  • Knowledge of basic arithmetic
  • Proficiency in the use of computers and office equipment
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and equipment
  • Ability to follow detailed oral and written instructions
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with patients and coworkers
  • Ability to identify and solve problems
  • Effective oral and written communication skills

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE______________________


Bachelor's Degree in business or related field
AND one year experience in general office accounting;
OR graduation from an accredited technical school
AND four years related experience.
