Your Role at BSI


Our team has completed a wide variety of projects for clients and businesses in the chemical, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, consumer products, and renewable fuel manufacturing industries.

With years of applied knowledge and experience, the BIM Manager in the Engineering Compliance department seeks to provide direction for the organization on best practices, the latest technology, technical support, project setup, project workflows, and mentor designers and BIM Coordinators.

The BIM Manager will provide direction for BIM execution plans customized to individual clients' requirements to ensure that design, engineering, and construction efforts operate smoothly and efficiently.

The BIM Manager will support projects through the Design/BIM Coordinators.

The BIM Manager will direct all the necessary factors for project implementation and completion, categorize them, and use them to turn the BIM environment into a productive and collaborative one, for all project team members.


The BIM Manager will define a BIM strategy, implement systems for communication and data exchange, ensure seamless collaboration, help manage people and resources, and monitor the process for potential improvements.


Responsibilities (BIM)

  • Primary point of contact for the design coordinators regarding BIM Execution projects, setup support, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Creating and managing Requirements/standards (EIRs), which is a document outlining the client's site standards.
  • Setting up and managing the Client Design Expectation (CDE) and aligning the BIM workflows, in conjunction with support from the Digital Technology Solutions Manager.
  • Primary point of contact to assist with set up and validate Model/Scan coordination with design teams, in conjunction with the Laser Scan team
  • Manage and develop BIM best practices, including supporting SOPs, data management, and software workflows, in conjunction with support from the Digital Technology Solutions Manager.
  • Responsible for supporting and driving continuous improvement initiatives for design software, in conjunction with support from the Digital Technology Solutions Manager.
  • Manage the storing and integrating of the necessary asset data, in conjunction with support from the Digital Technology Solutions Manager. (BIM Libraries)
  • Adapt and adjust the workflow strategy to support efficient BIM utilization/implementation
  • Develop and lead a team of inhouse BIM experts within the disciplines and across the organization to support discipline and companywide improvements.
  • Advance and strengthen relationships with disciplines by improving communication transparency, and involvement with project startup
  • Continuously review and recommend the optimal BIMrelated software and develop business cases for new investments, in conjunction with support from the Digital Technology Solutions Manager.
  • Create modeling protocols that allow for the export of Revit content to analysis/visualization software and/or other BIM software in conjunction with support from the Digital Technology Solutions Manager.
  • Organize information and training sessions related to BIM processes and offers guidance to staff and management regarding training needs.
  • Develop learning material, coordinate effective training, and provide ongoing support to Revit project teams.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, IT or equivalent OR 5+ years BIM production experience in Architecture or Engineering
