    Branch Manager

    Description Who we are: D&L Parts Company, formerly known as D&L Appliance Parts, was established in 1955. Our American, family-owned company was created for the everyday handyman in need of the right parts, but unwilling to pay big box stores prices. Over the last 65 years, we realized the contractors emerging need for an all in one Parts, Tools, Appliances, and HVAC distributor. Our company took this as a challenge to create a store that fulfills everyones needs while staying true to our original purpose. To accomplish this, we expanded our locations, inventory, and product lines.

    Currently, we have 18 convenient locations across North and South Carolina. We distribute both wholesale and retail, repair/replacement parts, accessories, maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment for major Appliances, Refrigeration, Residential, Light Commercial, Heating, and Air Conditioning brands. Since the beginning, D&L has devoted to servicing all customers from the do-it-yourselfers (DIY) to servicers, and contractors. No matter the size job, we are there every step of the way.

    **SUMMARY:** The Branch Manager is committed to the success of the branch. The Branch Manager provides supervision, leadership and direction to their team. They oversee and ensure branch growth while providing customer satisfaction.

    **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** include but are not limited to the following:

    Management of store operations including administrative duties, physical inventories, price changes and store housekeeping, etc.

    Responsible for expanding the customer base in location and surrounding areas.

    Creates and builds customer relationships.

    Resolve customer problems or complaints.

    Provide exceptional customer service and ensure the employees also provide the same level of service.

    Accountable for the sales and bottom-line profits of the store.

    Adheres and enforces federal and state employment laws in conjunction with company policies and procedures.

    Manage directing the overall activities of the branch.

    Manage store revenue including cash handling, deposit reconciliation and delivery of deposits to the bank.

    Utilize labor management tools to maximize productivity profitability and margins.

    Meet and exceed branch goals annually and monthly.

    Manage in ensuring branch employees are meeting their sales goals.

    Responsible for annual employee performance reviews, more often if needed.

    Ensure interior and exterior of the store is maintained to company standards

    Attend annual branch managers meetings.

    Work with Corporate office to ensure documentation and paperwork is accurate and received in a timely basis.

    Managers are required to have their residence within a 60 mile radius from the branch they are responsible for. (Internal applicant, must be willing to relocate).

    **STANDARD HOURS:**

    The position of Branch Manager is classified as an exempt position and therefore you will not be required to clock in and out using the time clock. However, you must understand by the definition of an exempt employee; Exempt employees are expected to do the work whatever hours are necessary to accomplish the job. Frequently needing to arrive before 7:30 am to have the store ready for business as well as staying after 5:00 pm to ensure the servicing of customers.

    Requirements **QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, as well as possess the following:

    Ability to lift 75+ pounds

    **SKILLS and ABILITIES:** Effectively present information and respond to questions from co-workers, clients, customers, supplier reps and corporate employees. Must have the Ability to calculate and reconcile figures and amounts. Must be proficient in, MS Office, Word, Excel, and Internet. HVAC/Appliance Sales and Marketing experience preferred.

    **Physical Demands:** The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job successfully.

    The employee must be able to assist other team members with lifting parts, equipment, and/or appliance over 75 lbs.

    Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus.

    While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk for extended periods of time; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear; occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

    **EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:** Parts Store Management or College degree preferred with concentration in business management. A proven track record in management, leadership and sales with a minimum of five (5) years experience preferred. Knowledge of appliance parts and HVAC parts preferred but not necessary.
