We are presently recruiting a Financial Counselor, bi-lingual preferred, for our Park City Primary Care clinic located in Bridgeport, CT._*****Under the general direction of the Director the responsibilities for this position are as follows: Responsible for verifying insurance benefits, assisting, and performing finance assessments for Medical, Dental and Behavioral Health.

Provide case management for uninsured or underinsured patients referred to at the Center regarding their medical needs.

Reviews, evaluates, and coordinates health insurance benefits available through public and private health coverage programs to ensure payment for scheduled clinic services.

Provides support to registrars and other personnel to assure all payment options have been explored and available.

Financial Counselor will be involved in pre-natal program identifying eligible pregnant women and enrollment in clinic and related hospital services.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:
Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Knowledge and use of the English language, Bi-lingual Spanish a Plus

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Basic math skills

REASONING ABILITY:
Critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
