Job Description:
Our team, supporting Military Sealift Command (MSC), has an immediate need for a Computer Technician to support Mobile Expeditionary Communications Kits (MECKs), which provide network services to deployed communication kits using a variety of network connectivity methods.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Perform day to day monitoring, testing, and Tier 12 maintenance actions for Windows 10 systems and associated printers by installing updates, conducting routine health checks, and troubleshooting/resolving technical issues
- Ensure IA compliance by patching, scanning, and providing scans regularly
- Work with a dedicated MECK support team to ensure operability and compliance/accreditation for all associated equipment
- Assist with the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), drawings, and system documentation
Job Requirements:
- Must possess current IAT II or higher security certification in accordance with IAWF DoD M
- Must have or be able to get within 6 months of hire, an appropriate Computing Environment or vendor certification for associated communications equipment being supported in accordance with IAWF DoD M
- Must have at least 1 year of experience supporting the following: Windows 10, ACAS/Nessus scans, STIG checklists, SCAP scans
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to travel as needed to support mission requirements
