- Contribute to developing the project safety plan.
- Monitor and analyze project safety performance indicators and suggest corrective/preventative actions for project team action.
- Ensure project team compliance with company safety processes.
- Support enforcement of safety programs within project teams.
- Facilitate project safety committees.
- Participate in safety preconstruction meetings and safety planning.
- Deliver project-wide safety training.
- Assist project teams in regulatory safety compliance.
- Conduct project safety inspections and validate corrective actions.
- Empower employees to halt work deemed unsafe until resolved.
- Review project incident investigations for accuracy.
- Maintain site safety documentation as required.
- Conduct industrial hygiene assessments.
- Coordinate and communicate safety activities with the Project Manager.
- Engage in safety regulatory compliance audits.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness within the project team.
- Perform other assigned duties and projects.
- Education: Preferred Bachelor's Degree in a related field; High School diploma required. Equivalent experience as a dedicated safety professional may be considered. OSHA 500 certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum four (4) years of safety management experience in construction. Federal and/or USACE experience mandatory.
- Federal Projects: Compliance may vary based on project requirements for federal government projects.
- Skills: Strong project management, judgment, time management, and organizational skills essential. Also requires initiative, conflict resolution, coaching abilities, and effective communication skills.

Contrack Watts Inc. is in search of a Project Safety Manager to be based at a project site in Bangor, WA. Experience with Federal and/or USACE projects is a must.
The Project Safety Manager plays a vital role in providing safety leadership and supervision at assigned project sites. They act as a specialized resource for project teams to ensure consistent implementation of company safety standards and programs, deliver project-wide safety training, assist in preconstruction safety planning, conduct onsite safety audits, and investigate incidents. The Project Safety Manager reports to the Project Superintendent or Project Manager and may oversee other Project Safety Managers on the project(s).
