Overview
The Chicago Furniture Bank is a non-profit that furnishes homes for the formerly homeless, victims of domestic violence, the disabled, and other populations in need.
We are seeking an individual to assist our clients choose furniture, provide customer service, and communicate with staff to ensure customer satisfaction.
We strive to provide an empowering experience for all clients as they take ownership of their new homes while furnishing it.
The Client Service Administrator will work directly families, individuals, and partner agencies to pick out furniture, track information, and coordinate deliveries.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties- Conduct In-Person and Virtual Client Appointments
The individual will accompany clients throughout the showroom in person and virtually ensuring all selected items are labeled and accounted for on the client inventory form correctly.
Virtual appointments are conducted using Zoom, facetime, and Google Duo to allow clients to pick out furniture through video call.

Qualifications:
- Strong social skills with a passion for customer service.
- Needs to be a proactive problem solver who can work with both donors and clients to find the most efficient, time saving solutions.
- Needs to be on time, reliable, and excited to work hard to serve the community.
- Previous work experience in the customer services is preferred, but not required
- Enjoy speaking and interacting with diverse group of individuals and groups. Must demonstrate patience.
Proficient in word, excel, google sheets. - Proficient in Spanish (preferred but not required)
Hours:
- Monday-Friday.
Pay:
- Starting at $18$19/hour based on experience with time and a half for overtime
Interviewing:
- If you are selected for an interview, we will conduct an video interview. We will have a short conversation about the job and your background, and personal goals. We will treat this process as a test run to see how you interact with clients and if we work well together.
Administrative Duties:
- Answering and routing phone calls

- Greeting visitors
