Position Summary:
Responsible for assisting in the maintenance, cleanliness and upkeep of the physical plant including, building, grounds and all engineering. Reports to the Director.


Essential Functions:


  • Attends work as scheduled and follows community's calloff procedures.
  • Assists and responds to maintenance work orders in the community in a timely manner.
  • Uses the Maintenance Schedule to assist with continuous maintenance of all systems such as, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical.
  • Assists with room turnover.
  • Assists with housekeeping duties.
  • Ensures outside grounds are clean and free from debris, including porch areas and courtyards.
  • Assists in the improvement and repair of general building and grounds.
  • Follows daily work plan outlined by supervisor
  • Works in a clean, sanitary, safe, and organized manner, abiding by all health and safety regulations.

  • Attends all required training, inservice, and staff meetings.
  • Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.
  • Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and coworkers.
  • Adheres to all policies and procedures of Spring Hills.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience and Education:

High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

General knowledge of systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical.

Standing (over 2/3), walking (over 2/3), using hands to finger, handle or feel (over 2/3), reach with hands and arms (over 2/3), climb and balance (1/3), stoop, kneel(1/2-2/3), talk or hear (over 2/3), taste or smell (under 1/3).
