    Description

    Responsibilities:


    Specialize in assessment activities to evaluate and analyze the architecture of migration environments, ensuring adherence to best practices for security, scalability, and cost efficiency.

    Conduct thorough reviews of tools and data systems, providing recommendations and migration plans towards cloud infrastructure.
    Assess network configurations, storage solutions, and compute resources, identifying areas for improvement and compliance with industry standards.

    Provide recommendations for optimization, design robust systems, and implement best practices to enhance performance and security in Cisco's GCP environment.

    Evaluate and ensure compliance with GCP's categorization of storage and access control, conducting regular audits and log evaluations.
    Inventory workspaces and assess access permissions to optimize resource utilization and reduce costs.
    Author or enhance enterprise-level architecture diagrams detailing components and access permissions.
    Document migration processes and outcomes, including any necessary adjustments or reversals.
    Participate in migration initiatives from AWS to GCP, encompassing applications, infrastructure, and networking audits.
    Collaborate with stakeholders to assess storage tiering needs and synchronization requirements.


    Requirements:


    Extensive experience in cloud infrastructure architecture, with a focus on migration to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).Proficiency in assessing and optimizing architecture for security, scalability, and cost efficiency.

    Familiarity with tools such as Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, and GCP.Experience with relational databases like Postgres and NoSQL databases like MongoDB.Knowledge of ETL tools such as Talend and 5tran.

    Strong understanding of networking principles and audit processes.
    Ability to author and interpret enterprise-level architecture diagrams.
    Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
    Previous experience in conducting proof of concepts and greenfield initiatives preferred.
    Minimum of several months' experience with both AWS and GCP platforms.
