    Vector Solutions is seeking a hands-on Cloud Architect with senior-level experience designing, implementing, securing and optimizing cloud-based solutions for our organization.

    You will collaborate with various teams to understand their requirements and translate them into scalable, reliable, and secure cloud architectures.

    This is a position on our Architecture Team and has visibility and impact across our entire suite of products.

    What You'll Do:
    Design scalable, resilient, and cost-effective cloud architectures that meet performance, security, and compliance requirements.
    Create architectural diagrams, documentation, and guidelines to communicate design and security decisions effectively.
    Implement security best practices and compliance standards, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, network security, and audit logging.
    Design security controls to protect data and resources from unauthorized access and cyber threats.

    Monitor and optimize the performance of AWS applications and services, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce latency, and optimize costs.

    Provide senior-level experience and guidance using infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.
    Evaluate existing and new applications for scalability, resiliency, security and automation gaps and work with teams on remediation.
    Contribute to Architecture and DevOps guilds.
    Collaborate across product teams to help them incorporate security and automation into their planning and continuous delivery process.

    Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, QA, operations teams, and other stakeholders on cloud best practices and architectural principles.

    Quick learner that readily picks up new languages, frameworks, and tools.
    Lead adoption of best practices in software/infrastructure security and automation across the company.
    Excellent time management, goal setting and prioritization capability.
    Track record of improving technology through innovation.
    Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
    Bachelor's degree in a related field of study.
    10+ years of experience working in development/operations teams.
    Advanced cloud implementation experience using compute, storage, networking, and security services on AWS
    Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, Bash, etc.)
    Preferred
    One or more relevant industry certifications such as:
    Preferred
    AWS Certified Solutions Architect
    AWS Certified Developer
    AWS Certified Security Specialty
    Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    May occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.
