Come join our team We have a full-time opening for a Pre-Med/Pre-PA Dermatology Medical Assistant at our growing practice in South Central Austin.

The office is conveniently located off of South Lamar and Ben White 71 near Central Market. The practice is independent and enjoys a great work culture.

Primary responsibilities for medical assistants include rooming patients, obtaining medical histories, scribing exam notes with an iPad, assisting the doctor during procedures, reviewing handouts/information with patients, patient education, turning over rooms, product education, answering phones, patient call-backs, managing faxes, performing prior-authorizations and making the patients feel comfortable and welcome.

Other responsibilities include instrument sterilization, prepping/tracking/managing exam room stocking, and supply ordering.


Dermatology Medical Assistant Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in dermatology practice as a MA preferred
• Team player, able to follow directions, eager to learn
• Experience prepping the room and assisting the physician with biopsies and surgeries
• Experience performing suture removals, wound care, and bandaging
• Integrity and accuracy related to charting and data entry
• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong computer, typing, and technology skills
• Strong problemsolving skills
• Positive attitude to maximize quality patient care
• Patient advocacy and conflict resolution skills for patients of all ages and backgrounds
• Must be able to work full business hours, 7:30am to 6:00pm 4 days a week
• Bilingual preferred

$ $21.00 per hour
