    Job Description

    This is an independent contractor position and pays a direct percentage of revenue from your appointments. Hours are flexible, although primary needs at this time are for four to five days/week, and one Saturday per month.

    The essential duties of this position include:

    • Provide patients (adult and pediatric population) with exceptional nutrition counseling and medical nutrition therapy, as well as support, encouragement, and education.
    • Develop a relationship with assigned patients and assist them in working to achieve their nutrition and wellness goals.
    • Guide patient through the process of managing medical conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, and high cholesterol by developing a plan collaboratively with the patient based on their unique and individual needs.
    • Proper documentation and charting of all patient encounters using an EMR.
    • Scheduling follow up appointments.
    • Completing superbills for all patient encounters (training will be provided).
    • Creating meal plans (if requested by Patient) using specialized software.

    The ideal candidate will have the following traits: organized, detail-oriented, motivated, dependable, compassionate, skilled in basic computer programs (i.e. Excel, Word, e-mail), able to work independently without direct supervision, excellent interpersonal skills and experience with counseling techniques related to promoting healthy behaviors.
