The QA Analyst II is responsible for the development and execution of manual and/or automated test scripts. The position uses business requirements, workflows, and technical specifications to design and perform functional testing.

Salary Grade , , ,132This position requires an analyst who works effectively within a team and collaborates with other Quality Analysts.

This position requires a self-starter who needs minimal direct supervision and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

This position reports to the IT Manager

Quality Assurance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESDuties include but are not limited to the followingParticipate in software requirement, specification, and design reviewsDesign, develop, and execute test cases using test plans and functional specificationsParticipates in test case reviews and incorporates feedback into assigned deliverablesPrioritize their work; manages their assigned deliverables; and reports progress as requiredCreates defects as required and ensures defects are per WRG StandardsCoach and mentor QA AnalystsParticipate in User Acceptance Testing and Model Office verification as requiredPerform deliverables tracking and reporting as assignedOther duties may be assignedSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESNoneQUALIFICATIONSThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree or higher in Information Technology or a related field of study and a minimum of three to five years of related work experience.

One to two years minimum experience in the Property and Casualty insurance industry preferredGood knowledge of software development methodologies, processes, and project governanceAbility to identify data requirements and data relationships within and among business processesDemonstrated ability to use the full functions of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Hands on workplace experience with testing tools such as Rally, Selenium, and LoadRunner preferred.
Interaction with project managers, business analysts, developers, and the business community as a project team member.

Familiarity with standard technical terms and the ability to discuss standard technologies at a high level (e.g., mainframe, client-server, network, database, etc.)Experience with Agile MethodologiesRisk management experience preferred.

Demonstrable experience with the creation of automated functional test scripts with testing tools is preferredLANGUAGE and COMMUNICATION SKILLSExcellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

Ability to interact in a positive, professional manner with all project stakeholders and participants including managers, and subject matter experts.

The individual must be able to effectively and clearly communicate with departmental and company personnel via telephone, e-mail, and one on one dialogue.

They must possess good meeting facilitation skills and be comfortable with public speaking.
